What fabric is this saree made of?
The saree is organza satin. The organza gives the base its crispness and body, so the pleats hold their shape, while the satin face adds a soft and even sheen. The blouse piece supplied with it is cut from two tone satin, which is a different fabric to the saree itself.
Is the blouse stitched or unstitched?
It is unstitched. You receive a 0.80 metre blouse piece in two tone satin, which your tailor cuts and stitches to your own measurements. Nothing is pre-sewn, so sleeve length, neckline depth and overall fit stay your decision rather than being fixed before the saree ships.
What kind of work is on this saree?
Embroidery, pearl, stone and handwork. In handwork of this type each pearl and stone is fixed individually rather than printed or heat-pressed on, and embroidery thread is run between them, so the finished surface carries real texture instead of a flat printed effect you can only see.
Will the colour match the photographs exactly?
It should be close, but a slight variation is normal. Studio lighting, camera flash and your own screen settings each shift how a shade reads. Satin surfaces reflect strongly as well, which can make the same saree photograph a little lighter or deeper than it looks in the hand.
How soon is this saree dispatched?
Once stock is confirmed, orders are normally prepared for dispatch on the next business day. The blouse piece travels unstitched alongside the saree, so there is no tailoring stage at our end to wait through and the parcel moves as soon as the stock check clears.
