What is jaal work on a saree?
Jaal work is a repeating lattice layout that covers the whole ground, rather than scattered motifs or decoration confined to the border. Because the pattern repeats continuously, the saree reads as a fully worked surface from across a room and not just in close-up detail.
Why does this saree use two fabrics?
Heavy mono net and crystal satin behave differently and are used for that reason. The net is an even open mesh that holds structure and lets air pass through, while crystal satin is smooth and glossy, supplying solid reflective surface where the open weave would otherwise sit.
Do I need a lining under this saree?
Plan for one. Any net-based drape is sheer wherever embellishment does not cover it, so a lining or a well-matched petticoat is part of wearing it properly. Sort that out before the function day rather than discovering it while getting ready.
What does the embellishment consist of?
Three elements worked into the jaal layout. Sequins supply flat discs that flash under direct light, beads add rounded points of highlight, and pearls read softer again. Using all three means the repeating pattern is built from varied reflections instead of one uniform element.
Is the blouse ready to wear?
It arrives stitched in the same fabric combination as the saree, made up to 38 inch with seam margin so a tailor can extend it to 42 inch. Since it is not supplied as loose cloth, confirm your measurement falls within that range before you order.
