Is the blouse a different colour from the lehenga?
Yes. The lehenga is beige and both the blouse and the dupatta are navy blue. That contrast is part of the design rather than a stock substitution, so the outfit already carries two colours before you add jewellery, footwear or a clutch to it.
Does net hold its shape in a lehenga skirt?
Net is an open weave, so it is light but it has more structure than a soft flowing fabric of the same weight. It holds a sweep rather than clinging to the leg. How much flare the finished skirt carries depends on how your tailor completes the semi-stitched pieces.
What is taffeta silk like to wear?
Taffeta silk is crisp rather than soft. It holds a fold cleanly, has a slight rustle when you move, and keeps a fitted blouse looking sharp through a long function instead of collapsing. It is firmer against the skin than a soft silk or a cotton lining.
How is this set cleaned?
Care for this design is dry cleaning only. Net with cord embroidery does not respond well to machine agitation, which can pull the couched cord loose from an open weave, and taffeta silk marks permanently if it is home washed and pressed while damp.
