How should an embroidered saree be stored?
Folded with a soft cloth between the layers, so raised work on one section does not press into and abrade the fabric beneath it. Hanging suits a light saree but not a heavy embroidered one, because the weight gradually pulls the cloth out of shape at the hanging point.
What is most likely to damage the embroidery?
Snagging. Raised stitches present edges that catch on rings, watch straps, velcro and rough furniture, and a single pulled thread can distort an entire motif. Removing rings before draping and keeping the saree away from unfinished wood prevents most of it.
Does poly silk hold its colour well?
Better than most natural fibres. Polyester bonds with disperse dyes and holds them through repeated cleaning and light exposure, which is one of the genuine advantages of the fabric. A deep blue in poly silk will keep its intensity longer than the same shade in a natural fibre.
Can I get this saree pressed at home?
No wash care instruction is recorded for this design, so we cannot confirm what is safe. As a general matter, embroidered sarees are pressed from the reverse over a soft towel so the work is not flattened, and polyester needs a low iron setting. Ask us before doing anything more.
Can I return this?
Yes. Vpnam has a 7-day return window, and the full terms are in the Refund and Returns Policy.
