Why does zari look different indoors and outdoors?
Daylight is diffuse and spreads evenly across a surface, so zari reads as a soft continuous warm line. Indoor lighting comes from points overhead, so the same metallic thread throws sharper, brighter flashes as the fabric moves. The border looks more dramatic in the evening for that reason.
