Is chiffon difficult to drape?
It takes a little more care than georgette. Chiffon is slippery and very light, so pleats work loose more easily and the pallu tends to slide. Most people manage it with a firm petticoat, a few extra safety pins at the pleats and one at the shoulder to hold the fall in place.
What shade is mehendi?
Mehendi is a deep yellow-green, named after the colour henna leaves take on. It is warmer and more olive than a blue-toned green such as rama, which is why it sits so comfortably in daylight and pairs naturally with gold rather than silver jewellery.
Is chiffon transparent?
Chiffon is a sheer weave, so a single layer lets light through. In practice the pleats stack several layers together and it is worn over a petticoat, so the draped saree is not revealing. The pallu, being one layer, stays the most translucent part of the drape.
What is included in this package?
One saree of 5.5 metre at 44 inches wide, and one printed blouse piece of 0.80 metre. Its stitching state is not recorded. Petticoat, fall and stole are not part of the set, so plan for those separately, particularly the petticoat, which a chiffon saree really does need.
