What is raw slub silk?
Slubs are thickened sections in a yarn that create visible irregularity in the woven cloth. Raw slub silk therefore has a textured, hand-woven appearance rather than a smooth uniform face, which gives the blouse a very different character from the printed satin of the saree.
Why choose a digital print for florals?
Digital printing reproduces fine gradation and clean edges that block or screen printing cannot match at the same cost. On floral motifs that matters, because petals need shading to look convincing rather than flat, and digital printing renders those transitions accurately.
How do florals read on a brown ground?
Softer than on a saturated colour. A coffee background lowers the overall contrast, so the flowers register as muted rather than bright. That makes the saree easier to wear at a daytime function where a high-contrast floral can look busy.
How does this differ from the other coffee saree here?
The other coffee piece carries a bandhani print with petal sequins, pearl and stone handwork and a Natural Silk blouse. This one has a floral print with sequins, embroidery and pearl handwork and a Raw Slub Silk blouse. Same colour, different print, work and blouse.
What occasions suit this saree?
A daytime reception, an afternoon function or a family lunch all suit it well, and the muted palette carries into early evening comfortably. It reads more understated than the bright traditional colours in this range, which some occasions call for.
