What is jacquard fabric?
Jacquard describes cloth where the pattern is woven into the fabric on a loom rather than printed or embroidered onto a finished surface. Because the design is part of the structure, it cannot rub off or fade separately from the ground, and it carries a subtle raised texture.
What does double weave add?
A double weave builds a second structural layer into the fabric, which gives it more body and a slightly raised patterned surface. On a crepe base that means the saree holds its shape a little more firmly than a single-layer crepe of the same weight would.
Why does a woven pattern look more expensive?
Weaving a pattern into cloth requires the design to be set up on the loom before production, which is a slower and more skilled process than printing onto finished fabric. The result has depth and texture that printing cannot reproduce, and it does not sit as a surface layer.
How does the applied work interact with the weave?
Because the jacquard ground already carries pattern, the floral motifs, sequin embroidery and pearl work function as highlighting rather than as the only visual interest. That generally produces a quieter and more layered result than heavy embellishment on a plain ground.
What blouse is included?
An unstitched Pure Crepe Satin blouse piece measuring 0.80 Mtr in pink. It shares the crepe family with the saree but carries a satin face, so the bodice sits smoother and more reflective than the woven jacquard surface of the drape itself.
