Why does saree width matter?
The width determines how the drape falls from the waist to the floor. At a standard 44 inches, no fabric has to be turned under or wasted regardless of your height, and the pleats stack cleanly. A narrower width would restrict how the fall sits.
Is 5.5 metre long enough for every drape style?
It is the standard length and covers the conventional drape with a full set of pleats and a pallu that reaches comfortably. Some regional styles and elaborate double-pallu drapes need more cloth, so check the requirement of your particular style before the day.
How does cotton silk compare with a heavy silk?
Cotton silk has more structure than a plain satin and less weight than a heavy silk. That balance means it holds pleats without constant adjustment while still falling softly rather than standing away from the leg, which is a comfortable middle ground for long wear.
Can I feel the embellishment on the print?
Yes. The embellishment sits on top of the printed design, so the pattern has surface texture rather than being entirely flat to the touch. Running a hand across the cloth is the quickest way to tell an embellished print from a plain printed saree.
What blouse size comes with it?
The blouse piece measures 0.80 metre and is supplied in the same multicolour as the saree. It is cloth rather than a stitched blouse, so allow time with a tailor before the occasion you plan to wear it for rather than expecting it ready to use.
