What is crush tissue satin?
It is a tissue fabric with a satin element that has been given a crush finish, meaning a fine crinkled texture is set permanently into the cloth. The crush breaks light into many small angles instead of one flat sheen, and it hides ordinary sitting creases well.
Will the crush texture come out after cleaning?
The crush is a set finish rather than a temporary crease, so it is intended to stay. This is one reason the care instruction specifies dry-cleaning for the first wash: dry-cleaning treats the fabric gently and does not put it through the agitation that ordinary washing would.
Is olive a difficult colour to accessorise?
Less than people expect. Olive is a muted green with warm undertones, so antique gold, oxidised silver and dull-finish metals sit against it comfortably. Bright polished gold can look harsh next to it. The Swarovski stones already on the saree supply most of the brightness needed.
How is the floral pattern applied?
It is a floral hand print, meaning the print has been applied by hand rather than machine-set. That gives small natural differences in motif placement from piece to piece. The Swarovski stone work is then set onto the printed ground as separate cut crystal accents.
Does this saree travel well?
The crush finish is an advantage here. Because the fabric already carries a deliberate crinkled texture, ordinary fold creases from a suitcase are far less visible than they would be on a flat satin or organza. That makes it a practical choice for a function away from home.
