What colour is sea shell?
It is a soft, pale neutral rather than a bright white. On this kurti it works as a light ground for the embroidery. A slight colour variation may occur because of lighting, camera flash and screen settings, so the shade in hand may read slightly warmer or cooler than on screen.
Why choose embroidery on a pale kurti?
Because pale neutrals look flat in a plain weave. Stitched thread on a light ground casts a faint shadow along its edge, so the pattern reads as relief and texture rather than as colour. That is what stops a soft shade from looking like an unfinished piece of cloth.
Is this comfortable in hot weather?
Cotton breathes and absorbs moisture rather than trapping it, and a pale ground reflects more light than it absorbs, so it is one of the easier combinations to wear through a hot month. It creases in the ordinary way cotton does, which is normal for the fibre.
What should I pair it with?
Almost anything, because the shade is neutral. Black, navy, denim, tan and olive bottoms all work, and a printed palazzo works too since the kurti itself is quiet. Straight pants take it into an office and leggings take it into a relaxed day out.
