What is the difference between zari and golden sequins here?
Zari is metallic-look thread woven into the fabric itself, so its shine sits inside the cloth. Golden sequins are separate flat discs stitched onto the surface afterwards. This saree carries both, which is why it has an underlying glow as well as distinct points of sparkle.
Is the blouse piece the same blue as the saree?
The blouse piece is listed as raw satin silk in the same blue family as the saree. It arrives unstitched at 0.80 mtr, so you can also choose to have a contrast blouse made and keep this piece for a different combination if you prefer.
How sheer is this saree?
Organza is a sheer weave by nature. The satin content, the zari and the density of the sequin, pearl and stone work all reduce transparency, but this is still a saree worn over a well-fitted petticoat in a close matching shade, which is the normal practice.
What does raw satin silk mean for the blouse?
Raw silk has a drier, slightly textured hand with visible slubs, while satin brings sheen. A raw satin silk blouse therefore holds its shape well and takes a structured cut, which balances the softer, sheerer organza of the saree it is worn with.
