What does semi-stitched mean?
The blouse is partly made up, with seam allowance left inside so a tailor can adjust it to your measurements rather than cutting and stitching from scratch. It is quicker to finish than an unstitched piece and gives more room for fit than a fully stitched one.
What is taffeta silk?
Taffeta is a crisp, smooth, closely woven fabric with real body and a faint rustle when it moves. It holds a structured shape well, which is why it is used for blouses and fitted garments where the cut needs to stand rather than drape softly.
How does this differ from the plain pink lycra saree?
Both carry sequin embroidery with handwork butta, and both are 5.50 m. The difference is the base and the blouse: this one is fancy lycra with a semi-stitched taffeta silk and organza blouse, while the other is plain lycra with an unstitched raw silk blouse piece.
Why combine taffeta silk with organza in a blouse?
Taffeta gives the blouse structure and opacity while organza adds a sheer, stiff element, usually at the sleeves or a panel. The combination gives a blouse that holds its shape and carries a translucent detail, which reads more designed than a single plain fabric.
