How do zari and sequins differ in effect?
Zari is metallic-look thread stitched into lines and outlines, so it reads as continuous metallic strokes drawn through the design. Sequins are separate flat discs that reflect as individual points. Using both gives drawn structure as well as scattered sparkle rather than one flat shine.
